ADAS Windshield Camera Calibration
Why calibration matters after a new windshield
Most newer vehicles have a forward-facing camera mounted at the windshield. When the glass is replaced, that camera has to be recalibrated so features like automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, and adaptive cruise aim correctly. A camera off by a fraction of an inch can be aimed far off-target down the road. Full explainer here.
Static, dynamic, or dual
Depending on your vehicle, calibration is done statically (parked, using targets), dynamically (driving), or both. It typically takes about 60–90 minutes and we handle it as part of your windshield replacement.
Coverage in Florida
When you use comprehensive coverage for a covered windshield replacement in Florida, the required calibration is typically covered too. Insurers increasingly require proof of calibration — we document it. Confirm details with your insurer. Questions? Call 407-388-4718.
